StageReader values your privacy. This document outlines what data we collect, how it's used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Email & Login Provider: When you sign in, we only collect your email and whether you used Google Sign-In or not.
• Files: PDF files are never sent to StageReader servers. If you use Google Drive, your files may be stored on Google’s infrastructure.
• Minimal Anonymous Data: We may log general usage data like errors or feature use to improve the app. This is not tied to your identity.

2. Data Retention

We do not retain personal data beyond your email and login method. Google may store your files if you use Drive integration.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies or tracking technologies within the app.

4. Data Security

Your authentication is managed by Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption and secure servers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers:

• Google Firebase for authentication
• Google Drive for file storage (optional)
• To provide and maintain the StageReader service.
• To allow you to access your files securely from any device.
• To improve our features and user experience.
• We will NEVER sell or share your personal information with third parties.

6. User Consent

By using StageReader, you agree to this privacy policy and to data processing by third-party services where applicable.

7. Children’s Privacy

StageReader is not intended for users under 13. If you are under 13, a legal guardian must consent to your use of the app.

8. Policy Changes

This privacy policy may change without notice. Please review it periodically before using the app.

9. Data Portability

We do not store user data beyond login info. There is nothing to export or transfer.

10. International Transfers

Data handled by Google services may be transferred and stored in data centers outside your country in compliance with legal safeguards.

11. Data Breach Notification

Should a breach occur within services we rely on (e.g., Firebase), we will notify affected users as soon as reasonably possible.

12. User Responsibilities

Please use a secure password and sign out from shared devices to protect your login credentials.

13. Opt-Out Options

If you do not wish to share your email or use third-party integrations, you should not use StageReader.

14. Legal Basis for Processing

Our legal basis for collecting data is user consent and the necessity of providing the StageReader service.

15. Third-Party Links

Our app may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

16. Data Minimization

We collect the minimum data necessary to offer the core app functionality (email and login provider only).

17. User Rights

• You may request account deletion at any time.
• We do not retain any data that can be ported or processed beyond authentication.

No automated decision-making or profiling is performed on user data.
